We build custom Odoo modules and integrations to streamline operations for clients in manufacturing, environmental management, and ecommerce.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Commission-Only IT Sales Representative to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will build your own client base among small businesses needing ERP solutions. You will leverage your sales skills to develop relationships, promote our services, and close deals, with the flexibility to manage your schedule and approach.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new client relationships with small businesses needing ERP solutions
- Generate your own leads and pursue new business opportunities across the US
- Present and promote Flatiron Networks' solutions confidently and clearly
- Manage the full sales cycle from outreach to closing, with support from technical experts
- Provide market feedback to help guide our strategy and offerings
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state laws
Compensation
Earning Potential
Typical closed deals range from $300 to $2,500 in monthly recurring revenue, plus one-time implementation fees.
Commission structure
- Recurring software deals (ERP subscriptions, hosting): 30% of first-year MRR, then 20% annually while the client is active. Residuals continue for 12 months after the end of your engagement with Flatiron Networks.
- Implementation and professional services: 12% of revenue on projects up to $25,000; 15% of revenue on projects above $25,000.
- Hardware pass-through: 20% of gross profit.
- Large-deal accelerator: 35% of first-year MRR on recurring deals above $15,000 ACV.
- First-deal bonus: $1,000 on your first closed deal.
Ramp support
- 90-day ramp draw: $2,000 per month for the first three months. Recoverable against commissions earned in months 4 through 9. Any unrecovered balance at the end of month 9 is forgiven.
- Paid onboarding and product training at $30/hour, up to 80 hours.
- Target: 2 or more closed deals per month after 90-day ramp.
Responsibilities
- Sales Execution: Promote and sell Flatiron Networks’ IT products and services to new and existing clients
- Client Development: Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with prospective clients
- Lead Generation: Proactively source and pursue new business opportunities independently
- Market Insights: Report on market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
- Compliance: Follow all company policies and adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws
Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience (IT, SaaS, or business software preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
- Comfortable generating your own leads using CRM and provided marketing materials
- Familiarity with ERP, Odoo, or business automation software is a plus
